EY Wavespace in Sydney helps companies navigate the transformation age
In 2018 EY created a unique space in its Australian head office in Sydney. It was called Wavespace. The concept had been trialled in other major EY offices around the world with considerable success and the learnings from those locations were able to be incorporated into the Sydney project. Konnectus worked closely with EY stakeholders locally and globally to design the Sydney Wavespace and make it even more successful than the others.
Wavespace is essentially a revenue generating tool for EY and, when used effectively, can provide win-win outcomes for EY and their clients. The space is a mix of different zones that are designed to be highly flexible. EY staff from different business lines can work side by side with their clients and use the variety of space configurations to collaborate, present, communicate, and even entertain.
AV and ICT technology is key to the success of Wavespace for EY. A variety of wired and wireless networks enable seamless transition of information and idea sharing to take place. The different zones within EY’s Sydney Wavespace are equipped with AV and IT hardware that include fixed and mobile touch LCD screens, a large 7 metre long interactive projection wall, a rotating LCD video wall, and a multi zoned performance sound system. Software platforms are also cleverly used to enable teams to collaborate in small groups, as well as, seamlessly present ideas to larger groups in formal or informal settings.
