In late 2023, Trinity Grammar School engaged konnectus to modernise the AV systems in their historic chapel. The existing setup was struggling to meet the school’s needs—particularly during services and musical performances. The ageing sound system lacked both clarity and power, with poor coverage leaving parts of the chapel underserved. The projection system was also failing; its washed-out image made it difficult for the congregation to read displayed content.

konnectus began the project with a comprehensive briefing process, working closely with the school to understand their priorities and vision. One of our early steps was to arrange a visit to another school chapel where we had recently installed a high-performing AV system. This gave the Trinity team a tangible sense of the performance and quality we could deliver.

Following this, konnectus provided expert advice on the best-fit solutions for the space and created detailed AV system designs tailored to the acoustic and architectural features of the chapel. The chosen solution included a high-performance Martin Audio line array speaker system to deliver consistent, powerful sound throughout the venue—critical for both spoken word and musical elements. A new high-brightness projection system was installed at the front for the congregation, paired with a rear LCD confidence monitor for the priest and presenters.

Rigorous testing and system tuning by the AV contractor, sound system vendor, and the school’s AV team helped ensure an optimal set up for the unique chapel environment. The result is a modern, high-performance AV system that enhances every aspect of chapel services—providing clear communication, immersive sound, and engaging visuals for all attendees.
