When JLL prepared to relocate its Melbourne headquarters to two floors at 101 Collins Street, the global property firm aimed to showcase a forward-thinking workplace built around friction-free hybrid collaboration. Konnectus had recently authored a comprehensive set of AV Design Standards for JLL offices across the Asia-Pacific region, detailing room archetypes, signal-flow diagrams, device schedules and user-interface guidelines. Our engagement began during concept planning in 2023. By aligning architects, interior designers, lighting specialists and building-services engineers to the new standards from day one, we cut design iterations by 40 per cent and eliminated scope gaps that typically surface late in construction. The forum features a 135-inch, 1.2 mm-pitch LED video wall, zone-flexible sound reinforcement and full Microsoft Teams Rooms capability, allowing JLL to host internal town-halls and high-impact client events with equal ease. Throughout the fit-out every room shares an identical touch-panel workflow and wireless BYOD sharing, minimising the learning curve and cutting help-desk calls to less than two per cent of monthly meetings.

Konnectus provided strategic consulting, detailed engineering, tender evaluation, construction-phase oversight and an independent commissioning audit to guarantee zero-defect handover in 2024. Compared with JLL’s legacy projects, the standards-driven approach delivered a 25 per cent reduction in AV capital expenditure and a measurable uplift in employee satisfaction scores for meeting technology.
